Intro.
Hi, the name’s Rahma, I’m 20 and I live in London, specifically a little place called Pinner.
Believe it or not, this is not my first time blogging. I have had a livejournal for about 3 years now and it’s freshingly addictive. Of course it’s not really journalism based, purely personal with the odd filmic rant.
My passions to put them simply are travelling, reading, enjoying a great film, sreenwriting and enjoying time spent with friends/family.
The main reason I’m on this course (and the film studies course) is to be a film journalist. I’m what you could call a film addict. I’m all about films, and it really is the one thing in life I couldn’t live without. Also, you rarely hear or know about female Somalian/Muslim film journalists and I want to be one of them. Of course you could argue, why would race/religion/gender matter? It doesn’t but to an extent before your personality shines through, that is what people may or may not label you with in terms of indentity.
